Hoover police officers, firefighters receive awards

The Hoover Chamber of Commerce recognized service officers for their distinction of service at its February meeting. Those given awards were:

Hoover Police Department

Detention Officer of the Year - Tyrone McCall

Telecommunicator of the Year - Jamie Sauvage

Police Officers of the Year - Ryan Smith and Brandon Massey

Hoover Fire Department

Firefighter of the Year - Lt. Rodger Cofer

Paramedic of the Year - Clint Moore
