Hoover PD waiting tables for donations

Local officers are bringing police to pizza.

Hoover Police Department is participating in Tip A Cop Friday, Aug. 14 at California Pizza Kitchen to benefit the Alabama Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics. Officers will wait tables and help servers to raise money for LETR, which is the largest grass-roots fundraiser for the Special Olympics.

Officers from Homewood PD, Birmingham PD and Shelby County Sheriff’s Office will also participate. Tip a Cop starts at 5 p.m. at the California Pizza Kitchen by Riverchase Galleria.
