Hoover man killed in Lipscomb

Lipscomb police are investigating the weekend shooting death of a Hoover resident.

Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the 52-year-old man as Abdul Malek Alsabahi.

Alsabahi was found in the yard of a private residence in the 5700 block of 14th Street South in Lipscomb on Aug. 1 at 4:20 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:25 a.m. The case is being investigated as a homicide.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Office assisted on this case.
