Hoover Fire Department to escort Santa around town on Christmas Eve

The Hoover Fire Department plans to escort Santa Claus around town via fire engine on Christmas Eve again this year.

Residents can find out when Santa is expected to be in their community by going to the Hoover Fire Department’s website, which allows people to search for approximate times by street name or by a map.

Fire officials ask people to remember that all times are only estimates. The fire engines being used to transport Santa will still be on active duty and may have to deviate from their schedule to handle emergency calls.

In the event of inclement weather, children can visit Santa at Hoover fire stations between 5 and 7 p.m.

The Hoover Fire Department plans to update its website on Christmas Eve with any major changes.
