Hoover City Schools to delay start time by two hours Thursday

Due to severe freezing temperatures as reported by the National Weather Service for the morning of Thursday, Jan. 8, Hoover City Schools will delay opening of the schools by two hours. 

Buses will run on a two hour delay. Zero periods at both high schools will be canceled. Student car riders and drivers should report to school no earlier than 30 minutes prior to the delayed start time as supervision will be unavailable. 

Extended day programs and after-school activities should continue as scheduled.
