Hoover City Council sets interview schedule for school board candidates

The Hoover City Council Education Committee will hold a special meeting on Monday, April 6 beginning at noon to conduct interviews with the 15 applicants seeking an open seat on the Hoover Board of Education. The interviews, open to the public, will take place in the Council Chambers in Hoover City Hall.

If necessary, additional interviews will take place on Thursday, April 16 prior to the 5 p.m. City Council work session. Though the interviews are between the committee members and 15 candidates are open, no public participation or comments will be allowed. The person selected will replace current board president Donna Frazier, who is stepping down effective June 1.

Interviews for the 15 school board candidates are set at the following times:

The City Council is expected to make the appointment at the April 20 regular meeting.
