Hoover council listens to rezoning concerns
At Monday night's council meeting, several Hoover residents voiced their concerns about rezoning in Hoover City Schools.
"I have personally reviewed the enrollment process at our schools," Councilman John Greene said prior to comments from residents. "Hoover City Schools has not been involved in any type of illegal enrollment."
Several residents spoke on the issue.
"I'd really like to see this council take more of an active role," said Bluff Park resident Stephen Hertz. Hertz invited the council and the community to attend a Bluff Park community event this Friday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m at Tip Top Grill.
"We are vividly aware of your concerns," Council President Jack Wright said at the end of the meeting. "We believe our schools are our biggest asset besides our people. We want what's best for our children."
