The Hoover Fire Department is assisting the Rocky Ridge Fire Department in an apartment fire off of Rime Village Drive East.

Hoover Fire Department spokesman Rusty Lowe said there have been no human injuries and firefighters believe there are no people in the building. Firefighters have been able to rescue one dog, Lowe said.

The fire is still out of control, and several Hoover fire trucks are on the scene. The apartment is in the 6900 block of Rime Village Drive East in a complex off of Lorna Road.
