Hoover High baseball field house burglarized

The Hoover Police Department is asking for help from residents after several burglaries of field houses of local high schools.

Hoover High School's baseball field house located at 1000 Buccaneer Drive was burglarized on Saturday, Jan. 3. Numerous gloves and bats belonging to players were stolen. 

Pelham High School experienced a similar burglary at their high school field house on the night of Tuesday, Jan. 6. Gloves and bats were stolen from this location as well. 

There is a large market for new and used baseball equipment in the Birmingham and Hoover metro area. Baseball equipment is typically easy to sell online, at second-hand stores or by word of mouth.
