Customer robbed in Publix parking lot

An 86-year-old male was robbed at gunpoint after shopping at Publix in the Hoover Court Shopping Center. The incident occurred Saturday, Jan. 31 at 6:20 p.m. as the victim was standing near his car.

The male suspect brandished a black handgun and demanded cash. He took $10 from the victim before fleeing in a vehicle parked nearby. The suspect vehicle is described as a late '90s or early 2000s beige or tan, four-door, Chevrolet Malibu.

The suspect is a black male in his early 20s with a thin build and thin face.

Detectives have identified a possible suspect in this crime but still need assistance from anyone who may be familiar with this suspect.
