by

Tonight, the council will consider authorizing maintenance and utility relocation agreements for proposed ALDOT projects in Hoover.

One resolution will authorize an agreement for the Hackberry sidewalk extension from Queensview Road to Running Brook Road. An additional resolution will ratify the Utility Relocation Agreement regarding additional lanes on Highway 150 and on I-459 northbound ramps. The agreement will be at no expense to the city.

The council also plans to set a public hearing for Monday, Nov. 8 to consider a request by GBT Realty Corporation for Conditional Use approval of The Crossings at Hoover/Shoppes of Hoover, a proposed shopping center at 2430 John Hawkins Parkway. The Planning and Zoning Commission approved the property, which is owned by Charles H. Chichester, Jr., at the Oct. 14 meeting.
