Sixth grader a top finalist for Jif creative sandwich contest

Ansley Powell, a sports loving sixth grader at Berry Middle School, is one of five finalists in the Eleventh Annual Jif Most Creative Sandwich Contest.

On March 21, Ansley will be in New York City, where the grand prize winner of the $25,000 college fund will be announced and four runners-up will each receive a $2,500 college fund.

The 11 year old is the culinary mastermind behind the Banutter Cream Sandwich, which features bananas, honey and two chocolate graham crackers made with Jif Creamy Peanut Butter.

Ansley froze the concoction to make a cool treat.

Ansley loves hanging with her friends and participates in her school’s basketball and swim teams. She also enjoys watching Cake Boss and dreams of being an elementary school teacher.
