Alabama trophy will be at Lee Branch Academy Saturday

The 2013 Coaches' Trophy presented by Dr. Pepper, awarded on Jan. 7 to the Alabama Crimson Tide as college football's national champion, will be on display at Academy Sports and Outdoors at Lee Branch on Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Melanie Turner, team leader at the Academy store, said she recommends bringing a camera, as a backdrop will be set up for a great photo opportunity. Turner also recommended arriving up to 30 minutes early in case of long lines.

The $30,000 trophy is made of Waterford Crystal, is 34 inches tall and weighs 45 pounds. This is the 27th year the American Football Coaches Association has awarded the trophy to the BCS national champion.
