Miss Hoover & Miss Hoover's Outstanding Teen 2017

Bailey Kennon, a 20-year-old student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, was crowned Miss Hoover 2017 this past weekend.

She won among 12 contestants in the Miss Hoover pageant on Saturday.

Meanwhile, 16-year-old Reagan Handley was named Miss Hoover's Outstanding Teen from among nine contestants.

The competitions included private interviews, on-stage questions and swimsuit, talent and evening gown exhibitions.

Kennon now will participate in the Miss Alabama pageant in June 2017, and Handley will compete in the Miss Alabama's Outstanding Teen pageant in March.
