New Mattress Firm to open in October

Mattress Firm is opening another location in Hoover, at Highway 280 and Cahaba Valley Road. The 4,000 sq. ft. store will be the seventh Birmingham location and the fourth to open in the last year.

Paul Wallace, district manager for Mattress Firm, said the Birmingham area has 13 stores at this time, and the area offers promising growth for the company.

“This is one of the many markets where Mattress Firm is growing exponentially, and we look forward to what is to come down the road,” Wallace said in an email. “While I can’t share any specific information on growth plans, I can tell you that Mattress Firm is always looking for opportunistic growth in all of its markets.”

Wallace also said the company looks for locations that offer convenience to shoppers, as well as areas that are highly visible and accessible.

The store is set to open on Oct. 2.
