Local dentists buying back Halloween candy to support troops

by

Kids have the option to make a few bucks off of their Halloween candy this year.

Dentists Dr. Michael Anglin and Dr. Erin Nelson are offering to buy back unopened candy by the pound at their office on Lorna Road on Nov. 2. Dr. James Sanderson is also planning to buy back candy that day.

Trick or treaters of all ages can participate, and they will receive $1 per pound. The candy will then be used in care packages for troops.

Anglin and Nelson are sending their candy as a part of Operation Gratitude. Everyone donating candy at their office will also be entered into a drawing to win a Sonicare Electric Toothbrush.

Candy can be donated from 3-5 p.m at Anglin and Nelson’s office, which is located at 3825 Lorna Road, Suite 206.

Sanderson will be accepting candy donations at Marco's Pizza at 1960 Braddock Drive from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
