Hoover Commons Chick-fil-A welcomes new manager

David Jackson began working with Chick-fil-A at 16 years old, so he’s more than ready for his new role as the restaurant operator at the chicken restaurant’s Hoover Commons.

A graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Jackson’s duties with his new role involve overseeing all operations of the quick-service restaurant, including hiring, strategic planning, marketing, team member development and community involvement.

Jackson previously served as the area director for multi-unit operator Morris Jackson, overseeing business operations for the Hoover Commons, Patton Creek and Riverchase Galleria Mall Chick-fil-A locations.

“I’m honored to assume the role of operator at such a remarkable restaurant,” Jackson said. “I hope to make a positive impact on not only every guest who comes in contact with our restaurant, but also on our community as a whole.”

Before he partnered with Chick-fil-A, Jackson was a food service consultant for the state of Tennessee. His favorite aspect of the Chick-fil-A business is teaching and helping young people develop.

“I make my living selling chicken, but I get joy from seeing others be successful in life,” Jackson said.

In his free time, Jackson enjoys playing golf and watching pros Jordan Spieth and Bubba Watson on television. He and his wife, Tammie, have six children, five sons and one daughter. Tammie works as an office administrator at the Hoover Commons Chick-fil-A.

“I’m very thankful to be a part of a great organization in Chick-fil-A.  They’re great people who walk the walk and not just talk the talk,” Jackson explained.
