Birmingham office space up for auction

Four office buildings off of Corporate Parkway in Hoover are going to be auctioned off later this month.

The property of Meadow Brook North includes four Class A buildings and more than 500,000 sq. ft. of office space. The starting bid is listed at $13 million on Auction.com, and the auction is set to start on June 22. Bidding will close on June 24.

The seven-story buildings currently house BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama, University of Phoenix, Liberty Mutual, Fidelity Information Services and Alabama Department of Transportation. The property is at 58.8 percent occupancy, according to its page on Auction.com.

Meadow Brook North was developed by Daniel Corporation and built in 1986. Atlanta-based commercial real estate company Transwestern is listed as the property agent.

“This unique offering presents an investor the rare opportunity to acquire a large mass of space in a market with limited office perks,” the page said.
