Hoover's Jailyn Maddox is one of 12 girls from Alabama selected to the All-Star game.
Jailyn Maddox of Hoover High School is one of 24 seniors from Alabama that have been selected to participate in the 26th annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Basketball Games, which will take place at Mississippi College on March 18.
Maddox is one of 12 that will comprise the Alabama girls team, coached by Brant Llewellyn of Lauderdale County and Emanuel Bell of Wenonah, two state champion coaches this season. The VCU signee led the Lady Bucs to a Class 7A Northwest Regional runner-up finish in her final campaign.
"Jailyn has been a phenomenal person, student, and athlete," Hoover head coach Tiffany Frederick said. "I have watched her grow over four years into a young lady that is ready for the next level. She is an extremely hard worker. She has been and will continue to be a great example for this program, school, and city of Hoover."
The game will tip off at 5 p.m. The complete team roster is listed as follows.
