Hoover coach Adam Moseley has been selected to assist with the Under-17 USA baseball team.
Hoover High School baseball coach Adam Moseley has been asked to serve on the 17-Under USA Baseball Task force as part of the 17U National Team Development Program.
The event is part of the Team USA National Team Championships tournament, to be held June 16-24 in Palm Beach County, Fla.
The National Team Championships will host 48 teams consisting of 15-25 players, of which approximately 26 total will be identified as prospects for the USA 17U National Team. Moseley and the other coaches placed on this task force will be charged with the duty of helping identify prospects for the 2015 17U National Team Development Program. Those players will then train together before competing as the 18U US National Team.
“I feel honored to be selected to serve on the USA Baseball Task force,” Moseley said. “It’s more a recognition of the great coaching staffs I have been a part of than it is a recognition of me.”
Moseley, who played college baseball at Birmingham-Southern, joined Hoover High School in 2014 as head baseball coach. he led the Buccaneers to a 30-14 record this past season. Previously,he taught and coached in school systems including Huntsville, Vestavia Hills and St. Clair County.
