National Night Out is a national event hosted annually by the Hoover police and fire department the first Tuesday of August. The event brings the community together with local law enforcement and public safety agencies to promote a safer environment. SuperTarget serves as a national sponsor. The event will feature Hoover police and fire department displays, local business exhibits, complimentary food and beverages, a car show, inflatables and giveaways.
The National Association of Town Watch (NATW), a non-profit organization faithful to the advancement and elevation of numerous crime prevention programs, created NNO in 1984.
