Halloween candy
Airheads are the most popular Halloween candy in Alabama, according to a survey done by the Influenster website.
The taffy-like, chewy bars of sugary candy, which come in at least 17 flavors, also are the most popular candy in Washington, but they don’t beat out chocolate across the nation, the survey shows.
Influenster surveyed more than 42,000 people across the United States to find out their favorite Halloween candy, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups got the most total votes across the nation. It was one of only three candies to receive votes in every state (the other two were Kit Kat and Butterfinger).
Candy corn captured first place in the highest number of states – five (Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wyoming). Various candy bars took first place in 16 states, and other chocolate candies won first place in 11 other states.
You can see the winner for every state in this graphic and on the Influenster website.
