Berry for sale

Hey Jon, didn't we go through this selling-Berry thing about, oh, nine years ago with Shades Mountain Christian School?

Berry campus

Yes. Shades Mountain Christian School made an offer to buy the property for $13.8 million in 2006, but the deal fell through when Shades Mountain Christian couldn’t come up with enough money to make it happen. In 2007, the city of Vestavia Hills made a joint offer with Shades Mountain Christian School for $10 million, but by that time, Hoover school officials were not sure they wanted to sell the property. The joint offer expired without action by the Hoover school board.
