At 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 17, Hoover officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway on Holly Road. Officers located two male subjects walking nearby on Camden Avenue. One of those individual had a GPS unit in his pocket that provided officers with a home address in the 1500 block of Camden Avenue.
The homeowner at that address was contacted and discovered that their vehicle, parked in the driveway, had been ransacked. Items were missing from the vehicle, including the GPS device. The two males were arrested and taken to the Hoover City Jail. Their vehicle was also located and impounded. More possible stolen items were found in the suspect’s vehicle and additional charges are likely. They are currently charged with the following:
- Garry Lynn Logan, 25, Edgewater
- Unlawful Breaking & Entering a Motor Vehicle: $10,000 bond
- Anthony Dushon Webb, 19, Birmingham
- Unlawful Breaking & Entering a Motor Vehicle: $10,000 bond
Logan and Webb have been transferred to the Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham. Residents are encouraged to always lock their car doors and never leave valuables in plain sight.
