Police Ride-Along
A 15 year old accidentally shot himself in the leg this weekend.
The Hoover 911 Center received a call Friday, Oct. 2 around 7:14 p.m. The resident lived at The Abbey at Wisteria Crest Apartments on Little Valley Road.
Two teenage males, 17 and 15 years old, said they were standing in front of an apartment when a car drove by and fired a shot at them. The 15 year old was transported to Children's Hospital for a gunshot wound to his leg. A detective went to the hospital to interview the 15 year old, who then admitted he accidentally shot himself.
His injury does not appear to be life threatening, police report.
