A: Medical West Brock's Gap Health Center and Medical West Hoover Health Center are primary care clinics proudly serving the West Jefferson community. At Medical West, our number one priority is to provide quality care for our patients in a community-based environment.
With many years of family medicine experience in the Birmingham area, Medical West Brock's Gap Health Center is proud to welcome Dr. Jody Gilstrap and Dr. Allyson Gilstrap to our team of Medical West physicians. Also seeing patients at this location are Nurse Practitioners Bonnie Moore and Kelly Petrovics. Medical West Hoover Health Center offers Family Medicine and Orthopedic care with physicians Dr. J.D. Shugrue (Family Medicine), Dr. Harveen Sodhi (Family Medicine) and Dr. Gaylon Rogers (Orthopedics).

Q: How long have your centers been open?
A: The Medical West Hoover Health Center has been open since May 2015. The Medical West Brock's Gap Health Center opened its doors in November of 2020.
We love being community based. We love being part of the community, and we volunteer where we can. We feel like we are like your neighborhood doctor’s office.
