After 13 years as a Realtor, Julie Ivy White has found a brokerage company that fits perfectly with her beliefs.
White in October joined Today’s Home Real Estate, and even the name of the company lines up with her philosophy for helping people buy and sell homes.
People go through phases, and what may be the perfect home for the min one season of life may not be for the next season. Life circumstances change.
“There’s really no such thing as a ‘forever home.‘ That term is a misnomer. Every single one of us experiences changes that impact our housing needs,” White said.
But people get married, have children, send children off and sometimes welcome children back for a while. Older parents may move in with their children. White sees her job as helping people fine-tune what “today’s home” should be for them and then helping them find it.
And the agents at Today’s Home Real Estate, which was founded on Christian principles, happily and willingly give a portion of each commission toward a charity that helps others in need of housing.
White said she has so much for which to be thankful in her life. But, “there are those out there who are truly hurting. They, for whatever reason, don’t have what they need — a home, a shelter, a safe place,” she said. “You can’t move forward if you don’t have a place to start from, and that’s what home is — a starting place.”
