Q: Please describe your area of expertise.
A: I offer primary care services for adults and children ages 10 and older.
Q: What type of services do you offer?
A: Our services include wellness and medical management visits, sports physicals, non-stimulant weight loss strategies and knee injections for arthritis. Some of our most common reasons for visits include blood pressure management, diabetes management, wellness visits and preventive medicine.
Q: What wants or problems do you provide a solution to?
A: I enjoy working with patients to keep them from developing chronic health problems. If health problems already exist, those problems can often be managed within a primary care office. If a patient is in need of a specialist, we have an extensive network of physicians that we can refer them to.
Q: Describe your educational and experiential background.
A: I graduated magna cum laude with my bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Alabama and completed medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. I finished my training in family medicine at St. Vincent’s East Family Medicine Residency Program.
Q: What is your benchmark for success?
A: For me, success means having happy, healthy patients who feel cared for.
Q: How have you and/or your staff adjusted your operations and/or services to comply with COVID-19 safety measures?
A: We offer telehealth appointments for anyone experiencing symptoms of illness or anyone who may have been recently exposed to COVID-19. We also offer parking lot testing for those who need to be tested for COVID, flu or strep. People can feel safe coming into the office because all potential COVID-related appointments are conducted virtually. Telehealth is also offered to anyone who may prefer to have their appointments from the comfort of their own home.
Q: Spring and warmer weather will be right around the corner. What, if any, seasonal advice or tips would you like to share with potential patients?
A: A major concern during warmer weather is water safety. Everyone should learn how to swim, and children should always be monitored around water. Anyone with a swimming pool and young children should consider investing in a pool fence.
Q: What is your approach or philosophy to customer service?
A: I view health care as a partnership between the patient and physician. I want to give patients every tool they need to live their healthiest life.
Q: What do you most want potential patients to know about you and your practice?
A: We are conveniently located right off the interstate in Hoover. Our staff is friendly and accommodating. We strive to give everyone a great health care experience so they can feel their best.
Q: How can I get more information or schedule an appointment?
A: Give us a call or go to our website to schedule an appointment.
