"Campesinos" Exhibit Showing This Month at the Hoover Public Library
Two photographers, Julio Larramendi and Chip Cooper, spent two years traveling through the countryside of Cuba. They have now created a compilation of their photos depicting the several aspects of life for those who live in the countryside, known as campesinos. After living in Cuba for a span of two years Larramendi and Cooper say that they have captured Cuba in a way that Americans have never seen. On Tuesday, October 13th the library will host an open house for the exhibit. Both photographers will be in attendance to speak about their experience, explain photos and answer any questions the public might have. There will also be traditional Cuban food served for the evening. The exhibit will be in the art gallery of the Hoover Public Library during the month of October.
