Sherry Chen hears over and over again that her customers taste the freshness of the ingredients in Mr. Chen’s Chinese and Taiwanese dishes.
The restaurant on U.S. 31 has been serving traditional, authentic Chinese food since 2009. As manager and co-owner, she oversees a combination of spicy Chinese Szechuan cooking style and a light and sweet Taiwanese style. Its best-selling dishes include pan-fried or steamed dumplings, boiled fish in hot oil, eggplant with basil pork and stir-fried pork with squid. In all they do, Chen’s team strives to provide the best in customer service.
This combination of traditional cooking styles creates a flavor similar to the food in parts of southern China. Customers appreciate this authenticity, especially those who have tasted authentic Chinese food before, Chen said. The dishes have also helped her co-owner, Wlung, become less homesick for Taiwan.
