The Hoover City Dad Brigade is looking for at least 600 volunteers for this summer’s volunteer day at the schools. For the first time, the event will include projects at the high school alongside elementary and middle schools. more

The volunteers helped with painting, pressure washing, clearing weeds, trimming bushes, moving furniture, caulking seams, cleaning gutters, picking up trash, laying pine straw and other tasks. more

Early Saturday morning, nearly 400 men gathered at the Riverchase Home Depot for the first Hoover City Dad Brigade event. They worked until 1 p.m. on projects to improve every Hoover elementary school before students return to the classroom. more
