Jason Kervin, a seven-year veteran of coach Josh Niblett's Hoover High football staff, will assume a new role as offensive coordinator for the defending Class 7A champions.

A couple of other coaching assignments have been made with other spots to be filled at a later date, the head coach said.
Josh Miller will step up from the junior varsity staff to coach tight ends. Miller had been on the JV staff for three years. Chris Metcalf, who had been on the JV staff for two years, will now coach the varsity secondary.
