Here’s the road work to keep your eye out for in the area this work week:
- Roadwork on the Highway 31 median in Vestavia Hills that started in May will continue through June 15. Southbound lanes closest to the median between Southwood Road and Canyon Road will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
- Starting Monday, June 8 at 9 p.m., guardrail repairs are planned for segments of the I-65 between the Shelby/Chilton County line and the Shelby/Jefferson County line. The repairs mean the inside left lane and outside right lane will be closed at different locations between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Depending on weather conditions, the repairs should be done in four nights, wrapping up on Thursday, June 11.
- ALDOT will be conducting sign maintenance on I-65 Northbound in Alabaster, which will close the outside right lane around mile marker 237, just south of the US-31 Interchange. The maintenance is planned to start June 9 at 9 a.m., weather permitting, and all lanes will be reopened by 3:30 p.m.
