Jefferson County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a man with several outstanding warrants earlier this morning.
Robert Burris Jr., 49, has been on Hoover's fugitives list since May, and he had an outstanding warrant with Jefferson County Sheriff's Office for felony second degree receiving stolen property. Burris was arrested and booked into the Jefferson County Jail at 3:49 a.m.
Burris posted bond and was then transferred and booked into Hoover City Jail at 9 a.m.
Burris reportedly borrowed the truck from his coworker on May 5. There were golf clubs in the truck belonging to the victim, which Burris later pawned. A felony warrant for receiving stolen property was obtained on May 26. There is also a misdemeanor warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle out for Burris in Hoover.
The stolen truck was located, but police have not been able to locate Burris.
