Lopez, a Birmingham resident, was first reported missing on July 13 and has since been located. She is now declared a runaway.
Birmingham police are updating the case of Birmingham teen Alexandria Alexis Lopez, 16. Lopez was first reported missing on July 13 and has since been located. However, she has not been reunited with her family and has been declared a runaway.
Police report that Hoover resident Jacinto Sanchez, 31, is a person of interest who may be with Lopez.
“Detectives do know that the child is safe, the child’s general whereabouts and the child’s family is also aware of this information,” Birmingham police report. “However, the child has not been reunited with the family due to extenuating circumstances between the child and the family.”
Detectives are working to assist the family and the child and bring a resolution to the situation.
